Casting jelly is a quick and simple way to make your own moulds to use with fondant gum paste chocolate soap or cold porcelain.

Save money by making a mould you need for a one-off project rather than buying a mould you will not re-use.

The casting jelly can be re-used many times if kept free of foreign matter.

Instructions:

Melt jelly in the container on medium microwave for 1 min and stir gently or can be melted over hot water.

Place article for moulding (eg leaf fridge magnet earring) in a flat bottomed container with sides higher than the object to be moulded. The article needs to be able to withstand the heat of the jelly.

Pour melted jelly over the object to completely cover. If bubbles appear tap container lightly to bring bubbles to the top.

 Allow to cool.

When set remove from container. Press moulding paste RTR icing moulding chocolate or cold porcelain into mould and smooth back. Flex mould and completed mould will pop out.

Re-melt jelly and store ready for your next project. This jelly can be melted repeatedly if kept free from foreign matter
