Learn how to confidently stack your own two tier cake in this beginner workshop by Carli from Baking Club.
You will walk away with a gorgeous boxed cake you have decorated yourself, a
from-scratch recipe and a bundle of knowledge about creating and transporting tiered cakes!
Learning Outcomes:
- instructions and guidance to cut, fill, stack, crumb coat and ice a basic buttercream cake
- instructions to create a semi-naked finish (a different technique to above)
- instructions on how and when to use dowels to support cakes
- instructions on how to prepare fresh flowers to place on cakes
- the chance to decorate the cake in your own design, using the fresh flowers, sprinkles and piping tips available.
Level:
Perfect for beginners, no experience necessary
What to bring:
There will be some time allocated for lunch. Please bring your own lunch or snack for the day.
Please wear closed in shoes for the duration of this workshop.
What you’ll get:

- a take home recipe booklet for the cake and icing
- a timeline guide on creating cakes for events
- knowledge of how to transport, store and cut your cake.

All courses are run from our Balcatta training centre. Please arrive 5
minutes prior to the start of the class.

$550 (including GST) per person
